JFS therapists are licensed by the State of Virginia as independent providers of mental health services. Services provided by LSCWs are covered by Medicare and Medicaid, and by many private health insurance companies. As a non-profit organization, mental health services provided by JFS can be offered on a sliding scale to individuals who do not have medical insurance. Confidentiality guaranteed!! Fees and Quality Control Jewish Family Service and its predecessors have served the Tidewater Jewish community for more than 80 years.
