![]() People are eligible for Meals on Wheels if they are 60 or older and if they have a disability which makes it difficult for them to shop and prepare meals. The program is open to anyone in the community who meets those criteria, regardless of race, religion or background. Rresidents can receive up to seven meals a week. The meals are delivered on Thursdays. Each meal costs a maximum of $3.25 and can be adjusted on a sliding scale. Nutritionally balanced meals are frozen and consist of meat, chicken or fish entree, along with a vegetable, fruit, rolls, juice and milk. JFS meals are delivered by volunteers who spend approximately one to two hours one time per week delivering to up to five clients.
