WHAT IS TRIBUTE BANKING? Tribute Banking is designed to make your life a little less hectic. If you make numerous donations to Jewish Family Service to have a condolence, birthday, get well or congratulations card sent, Tribute Banking is an ideal and convenient way to do this. With a simple phone call, e-mail or fax, it allows you to make donations to JFS without the hassle of getting a check in the mail or having to run down to the JFS office. An initial investment in the Tribute Banking Program will yield Mitzvot, and interest and dividends will be reinvested through support of JFS programs and services to the Jewish community. JFS encourages you to take advantage of this opportunity to become a depositor, and encourages you to inform your friends and relatives to also participate.
WHAT DOES IT COST? Each Tribute Banking card is $18.00, chai, and an initial contribution of either $180 or $360 opens an account and allows participation in this program. Each participant at the $180 level is entitled to ten withdrawals in the form of an honorarium or memorial sent in one’s name. Each participant at the $360 level is entitled to twenty withdrawals. A statement regarding account balances will be mailed quarterly to all account holders. JFS will also inform participants when an account is falling low, so that additional funds can be deposited to keep accounts active and the service always available
HOW DOES IT WORK? The beauty of Tribute Banking is its convenience. Participants need only call, fax, log onto www.jfshamptonroads.org or e-mail their request to JFS and a personalized card will be sent out within 24 hours of receipt. The specially designed card is an oversized reproduction of the beautiful painting, entitled: The Roots Of Judaism-Twelve Tribes, by award winning artist, Arlene Kesser.
